The “Story Behind The Sale” below was written by one of the agents on my team, Mike Koson.  Mike has been a valued member of The Brian Kondo Real Estate Team for 15 years and has helped countless clients with their real estate needs, like both the buyer and seller of the South Ajax townhouse below.

Here is Mike’s story:

 

 

I had the privilege of listing a beautiful townhouse in South Ajax for sale. The sellers chose me and our team because they felt confident in our approach to preparing and marketing their home. We worked together to ensure everything was ready, from staging to professional photography. 


Unfortunately, it was a slow market, and homes were taking a little longer to sell.  One of the most important things we can do in this situation is communicate regularly with the sellers, which includes showings feedback, market updates and letting the clients know what we were doing to generate interest.  Sandy and Wally were extremely happy with how I and our team handled this.


One day, we received an online inquiry for the house.  Our Inside Sales Agent called the possible buyer and once she determined there was genuine interest, assigned the buyer to me since I was the lead agent for the property.  


I then contacted the buyer and asked questions to make sure that this was indeed the right fit for her and more importantly, that she could qualify for a mortgage for the property.  Once that was all done, I met her at the property.  She toured the townhouse and immediately fell in love with it.  An offer was presented to the sellers and soon after, we had a deal.  


Both the buyer and the sellers were thrilled with the process and outcome.  My sellers were happy to see how we were able to find the buyer ourselves through our extensive marketing efforts.  They were  also happy that their home was going to someone who loved it as much as they did.  My buyer was excited to start a new chapter in her life in the home of her dreams!


Moments like these remind me why I love helping people navigate one of the most important decisions of their life.  It’s rewarding to see both sides of a transaction come together so smoothly, and I’m grateful for the trust both my buyer and seller placed in me to guide them through it.
